When children are free to choose their own materials, colours and ideas, they

Using their imagination and making their own choices

Building confidence and pride in their own work

Developing fine motor skills and problem-solving

Expressing their ideas, feelings and experiences

Their creations may not always look like a pumpkin or a firework to us, but every

mark, splash and squiggle is a sign of real learning. Most of all, it’s truly theirs.
